If you’ve ever typed a question into Google, you have probably already discovered rich answers. Even if you don’t know them by name. Fundamentally, they provide users direct answers and information to search queries. Unsurprisingly, the use of them is growing.
In 2015, Stone Temple Consulting conducted a study on rich answers; they conducted over 850,000 searches on targeted queries and 19.45% of pages triggered rich answers.
This doesn’t take away the importance of keywords and aiming for the top positions on Google search enquiries, it just means that pages need to be optimised for rich answers as well.
